The little things, made extraordinary.

A Cutler and Gross frame is a collection of little things. A hinge. A rivet. The line of a brow, cut by hand. Since 1969, the house has made those little things extraordinary.
We would like to add one more. A small chip, set inside the frame, that keeps the whole story alive long after the frame leaves the shop.
Jack, you have said this industry is entering its most honest era. That clarity is replacing noise.
In an honest era, a brand does not claim it is authentic. It proves it.
One tap, and the frame answers for itself: what it is, where it was made, and that it is real.
A certificate worthy of the frame
Not a card in a box. A certificate that carries everything that makes a Cutler and Gross a Cutler and Gross: the house and the year it began, the model, where and how it was made, the material, the date, the owner’s name, and the optician who fitted it.
Ownership that travels
When a frame is sold, gifted or inherited, its proof of ownership moves with it. The icons become heirlooms, with a history anyone can check.
No two of your frames are ever exactly alike. So no two should ever share a certificate.
The story is already beautiful. It just lives in the wrong place.

1969
Knightsbridge. Graham Cutler and Tony Gross begin making glasses people remember, by hand, above their shop on Knightsbridge Green.

Today
Cadore, and Japan. The icons, reimagined. Your own atelier in Cadore. Hardware designed by the house. Craft films, artist interviews, and Stories about how we see the world differently.
Jack, you already tell the story beautifully. Today it lives on your website.
Tomorrow it lives on the frame, in the hand of the person wearing it. Matched to the exact frame they own.
2,000+
More than 2,000 stockists, in over 50 countries. Every one of them a door into the house.
But when a frame walks out through one of those doors, the relationship usually stays at the counter. The passport changes that. Every owner, wherever they bought, can be known to the house, and can choose to stay close to it.
One tap, three people. Choose whose view to see.
Proof, story, and a place in the house.
- The certificate of authenticity and ownership
- The story of this exact frame, from Knightsbridge to Cadore
- Care, service, and the optician who fitted it
- First word on new seasons and collaborations
Credit, and the owner’s return.
- Named in the passport as the optician who fitted the frame
- The first place the owner is pointed back to for care and adjustments
- The brand’s story, ready to tell at the counter
- Part of the relationship, not replaced by it
A direct line, with the owner’s consent.
- Every owner who chooses to connect, wherever they bought
- Which icons live where, and how they are worn
- Authenticity confirmed, and resale visible
- A channel to speak to owners directly
A direct line to every owner. Never a way around the people who sell your frames.
The best customer is the one who already owns a pair.
- i
First access, earned by owning.
New seasons. Collaborations, like Debbie Harry and The Great Frog. Owners hear first, from the frame they already wear.
- ii
The second pair starts with the first.
Knowing what each owner chose means knowing what to show them next. The sun version. The same icon in a new acetate. The next collaboration.
- iii
Knowledge, not guesswork.
Repeat purchase built on what owners actually bought and how they engage, rather than on who happened to open a newsletter.

Built into Cadore, not bolted on.
- iThe chip goes in at the atelier, as one more step in the making.
- iiWe start small: one icon, or one collection.
- iiiWe measure from the first month.
- ivThen it grows at the pace the house chooses.
When we met, Jack, you asked Mark to take a look.
This is that look.
